We show you that this is true. As we are a hotel for hikers we also wander through the mountains of the Silvretta and the Verwall and guide you to the most gorgeous summits and scenic outposts during our Hiking Weeks. Past flowers, lakes, brooks, meadows and mountain huts. And at the same time making breaks, admiring and marvelling. Joyfully and lightheartedly discovering the beauty of nature. That’s our hiking philosophy.
Everybody with average endurance and without mountain experience can participate in our hiking tours. We return from our hiking tours in the afternoon, so that you still have plenty of time for individual day trips.
As basic equipment for our hiking tours we recommend a light rucksack (capacity 25 liter), solid ankle-high mountain shoes with grip sole, functional, light, not to tight and breathable hiking clothes, rain shelter, gloves and hat, adequate sun protection, lip guard and sun glasses, camera as well as water bottle with at least 1 liter.
The Paznaun offers a hiking path network which extends over more than 1000 km in the whole Paznaun and over 250 km in Galtür. Situated on 1600 m above sea level this village represents a magnificent starting point for diverse hiking tours.
Here you find a selection of recommendable tours:

Can there be anything better than enjoying a traditional Tyrolean snack in front of a mountain hut on a sunny day whilst admiring the brilliant view? Alpe Vermunt, Alpengasthof Zeinisjoch, Berggasthof Piz Buin, Friedrichshafener Hütte, Jamtalhütte, Konstanzer Hütte, Lareinalpe, Mentaalm, Neue Heilbronner Hütte, Saarbrücker Hütte, Scheibenalm, Verbellaalpe, Wiesbadener Hütte – choose one of these rustic mountain huts and hike towards culinary delights.
Sometimes it’s good to save some power whilst getting up the mountains. Use the regional summer mountain railways for this purpose for free with the Silvretta Card and get a little bit closer to the summit cross.
The hiking bus comfortably and easily brings you to the starting point of your hiking tour and back again to the hotel. With the Silvretta Card the bus is free of charge. The bus also drives to the neighbouring villages Ischgl, Kappl or See.
