Face masks are not compulsory in the entire hotel and restaurant area. In detail, these are the following measures:
- Comprehensive basic cleaning and disinfection are standard for us.
- Increased disinfection of all contact surfaces.
- Restaurant furniture has been adapted to ensure the minimum distance.
- The possibility of hand disinfection is guaranteed in all public areas.
- Your booked room has been cleaned and disinfected according to strict standards.
- All staff members have received sustained training in their field of activity and are informed of changes on a daily basis.
- We understand that you are unsettled by the daily changing information and have questions about your holiday in Galtür. We are monitoring the situation closely. We are here for you and will be happy to help you with any questions you may have at any time.
We reserve the right to make changes at short notice and do not guarantee the completeness of the safety measures listed. We are sure that we will succeed in finding a balance between a good and safe holiday experience and thank you for supporting us in this.
Arrival
A 3-G certificate is sufficient for entry into Austria. You can find all the latest information at https://www.austria.info/en/service-and-facts/coronavirus-information
We want your holiday to be a pleasure on all levels. However, we can only achieve this if you feel in shape and can fully enjoy your holiday. If you have experienced corona symptoms such as fever, cough, no sense of taste and/or aching limbs in the 2 weeks before your arrival, we ask you not to start your journey.
Not only according to the current situation, but in principle we ALWAYS recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance. The Europäische Reiseversicherung not only offers you protection against costs in the event of cancellation or early departure, but also insures various reasons for cancellation due to Covid-19.

Check-In
On your arrival we will give you a warm welcome, but for your safety we will not shake hands. We have equipped the reception desk with special plexiglass panels. We ask you to keep the minimum distance of 1 meter to other guests not only when checking in, but at all times.
Please, use our disinfection columns, which we have set up in the Hotel Reception area.
In the rooms
Restaurant & Culinary
For your protection, the restaurant areas are closed to external guests. Despite the actual situation, we will do our best to spoil you, as our house guests, during your half board with our best service as always.
We will extend the meal times a little. In the afternoon we offer our cake and snack buffet from 03.00 pm.to 5.30 pm. In the evening we open the dining area from 06.15 pm., so that there is now rush in the restaurant at any time.
The breakfast buffet will be available during your stay in the usual manner, variety and quality. Our buffet areas have been redesigned in such a way that we can fully comply with the increased hygiene regulations and the associated distance regulations.
Sauna
The sauna area – is open daily from 13:00 – 20:00. Of course, we can open the sauna earlier on request.
A maximum of 2 – 3 guests from different households are allowed per sauna cabin. We ask our guests to keep their distance and to observe the “household rule”.
Mountain railways and gondola
Galtür is in the fortunate position that chair lifts also lead directly to the ski area. In case you want to avoid a trip with the gondola lift, there are options here.
- You can buy your ski passes as before, without any problems and without queuing at the lift cash desk, directly from the hotel reception.
- The queuing areas at the lifts will be optimized, mouth and nose protection will probably be obligatory.
- All cable car cabins, ticket offices and other similar facilities will be cleaned and disinfected regularly.
Please also see the information provided by the Galtür cable cars.
Bus rides
An FFP2 mask is compulsory on the buses.
